Mobile Food Pantry

posted May 26, 2020

We are excited to announce that we will now be able to serve those who are unable to come to our facility because of mobility reasons. This program will deliver on one Thursday a month, right to your doorstep, between the hours of 1 and 4 pm. Clients will receive a food box containing items such as: produce, milk, eggs, meats, and bread. If you or a loved one is interested, here’s how to apply:

1.) Contact Starting Point, a program through The Macon County Health Department, at 217-423-6550.

2.) Let them know that you are interested in receiving a referral from them for Northeast Community Fund’s Mobile Food pantry Delivery Service.

3.) You will go through a series of questions with them, and if you meet the qualifications in place, they will send us your information.

4.) If we receive your information from them, then we will be in contact with you shortly to let you know which Thursday of the month we will deliver to you and we can decide on where to leave your package.
